I would like to introduce myself. My name is Stevi
Baskin. I have worked at Eastside Dog and Cat
Hospital since 1979. My activities have varied
throughout the years from assisting in surgery to being
part of the front office staff. My most important job
is keeping patients, clients, and staff members
comfortable and educated. I strive to share all of my
knowledge with others and I enjoy participating in all
aspects of the clinic.

I currently have a horse (Salo), a cat (Cricket) and Rottweilers (Ari
and Uris). Ari is a retired Therapy Canine who just loved going to the
nursing home to spend some time with the residents. Ari also has an
Obedience Title. My children (human variety) are grown and live away
from home. This leaves time for my husband and my various hobbies.

Having worked at other clinics I´m very proud to work for an animal
hospital that practices the best possible animal care I´ve ever seen. I
spend most of my off time at my first job (which is the hardest job I
have) taking care of my family.

The "little people with fur" in my life include 5 dogs, 2 cats, a bunny, and
a guinea pig. I also have a turtle named "Rodman" - so it´s quite a zoo!! I
am also currently raising my 7th foster puppy, "Stella", for PAWS with a
Cause, which is an assistance dog training facility based out of Michigan. I
have previously raised 3 other dogs with Pilot Dogs Inc, which is a seeing
eye dog training facility based out of Columbus. I spent the ages of 12 to
18 competing in 4H obedience with my beloved German Shorthair Pointer,
Gem, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March 2005 due to liver cancer.
I have loved animals my entire life and always pour the same love into your
own pets as I would mine. I am part of the Exam Room Technician team,
assisting in many different areas including the exam rooms, our Bed and
Breakfast, treatment, radiology, and grooming. I look forward to meeting
you and your pet with a big smile and open arms!

As a veterinary technician assisting in surgery at Eastside Dog and Cat
Hospital since 1989, I have met numerous great people and animals. With
Dr. Rutman´s involvement with the Ohio Greyhound Rescue Organization,
I´ve become a volunteer. I have also been the very happy owner of five
Greyhounds. This is a wonderful breed that I would recommend for
someone looking for a gentle, sweet, affectionate couch potato! The
Greyhound rescue phone number is 1-800-269-1148. I share my home
with several four legged friends.

I live in Leroy Twp with my husband, Mike. We have 1 Rhodesian Ridgeback,
Hannah, and 2 Chesapeake Bay Retreivers, Connor and Ryder. Connor is a
registered therapy dog at PetPals at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Hannah
is a PetPal-in-training. We also have 4 cats and 3 horses. In the little spare
time that I do have, I enjoy camping with my husband and our dogs, gardening,
and spending time with my horses.

When I am not here pampering your pet, I am at home with
my husband, George, and four kids, Bryan, Katey, David,
and Taylor. Louie, our Rottweiler, shares us with four cats,
Milenko, Benning, Tree and Wahoo.
If ever things quiet down, I enjoy reading, surfing the net
and various outdoor activities.
I enjoy getting to better know you and your special pets.

I am the Pet Hair Stylist for the clients at Eastside Dog and Cat
Hospital. I learned how to groom in 1984 and have enjoyed working with
animals most of my life. My experience in the animal field includes
showing dogs (Bichons), grooming show horses (American Saddlebreds),
grooming race horses at Northfield Park, volunteer grooming at the
Cleveland APL, and managing a pet shop for nine years. Some of the more
interesting animals I have groomed have been rabbits, guinea pigs,
ferrets, a skunk, a donkey, and a miniature horse. (Yes, she actually fit
into the bathtub!) I became a part of the Eastside Dog and Cat
Hospital´s staff in 1994.
My two children, Justin and Sica, keep me pretty busy at home. We love
to fish, swim, scour fields and beaches with our metal detector, and
visit amusement parks. In my free time I enjoy writing, reading, and
studying the Scriptures.

When I am not caring for our guests, you will find me hiking and doing
agility with Linus and Lucy. I also enjoy taking pictures of nature and my
pets. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Hi, my name is Peggie Makowski. I have had the privilege of working at
Eastside Dog and Cat Hospital since 1984. I am presently the Office
Manager. This job involves many different duties so I "wear many hats." I
enjoy the variety this job brings me.
I share my home with my Boxer named Jack. We are currently competing in
AKC agility and have received both of the Novice level titles. When we are
not training for agility we are working on Jack's obedience knowledge and we
can also be found putting in time building on Jack's tracking skills. When I
am not working with Jack I like to scrapbook. I would like to Thank You for
stopping at our website. You can be assured that everyone here at Eastside
will treat your loved one as if it were our own.
